Research and publication are mandatory elements for Level 1 Trauma Center designation.
Trauma Specialists' network of physicians engage in research to advance trauma care therapies and treatment options, develop new technologies, and improve patient care protocols. Research is conducted in a variety of areas and categories such as clinical research projects, basic science research, and research in key specialty and sub-specialty areas of medicine.
Research is commonly published in peer-reviewed journals. Multiple articles are available to view in the publications section. Also of interest is the Legacy Biomechanics Laboratory.
